team challenge event outlines

Teams will consist of 4 ppl, 2 males and 2 females.

Entry fee is NZD$350.00 per team, which includes; participation in three events, an event t-shirt, branded hat and dinner at the prize giving event on Saturday evening.

The event will consist of 4 challenges kicking off Saturday morning and closing Saturday lunch time.

All events will test your endurance, strength, fitness, agility and team work.

This exciting category will take all teams from the mountains, to the beautiful beaches, allowing you to test your fitness in and amongst the gorgeous backdrop of Aitutaki's natural beauty!
individual weightlifting event outline
Supported by the Cook Islands Weightlifting Federation, this event will kick off the weekend on the Friday evening at the Aitutaki Fishing club. This is an amazing opportunity for lifters of all levels, both local and international to get on stage and showcase their lifting expertise in a competitive environment . Whether you are an experienced lifter or a novice, we encourage everyone to get amongst this exciting event!

Registration costs NZD$50.00 per person and includes; participation, a branded event t-shirt, bag, hat, and dinner at the prize giving.

NOTE: the $50.00 is not charged if you are already registered to compete in the Team Challenge. The $50.00 is only charged when participants are only taking part in the Weightlifting event.

Competitors will each compete in their own specific weight class, based on their bodyweight on the day.

Two lifts shall be featured namely the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk.

The event rules will be based on the Olympic Lifting standards, where each competitor is allowed three attempts at each lift.

The winner in each weight class will achieve the highest score of both their combined lifts.
